Katy is my friend’s daughter, and I’ve known her since she was a child. Early this morning, around 6am, a fire broke out in her apartment complex. In a matter of moments, Katy and her family lost everything they owned, escaping with only the clothes they were wearing. The shock and devastation of losing their home and all their belongings has been overwhelming, especially with the holidays approaching.

Right now, Katy and her family are facing the daunting task of starting over from scratch. They need help with temporary housing, replacing essential household items, and finding new clothing. With Christmas just around the corner, they’re also hoping to bring a little joy to their twins, who lost all their presents and toys in the fire. Every dollar raised will go directly toward helping them rebuild and regain a sense of normalcy during this incredibly difficult time.
