Kai, Katy and Josie will be packing up our family and moving to Zagreb, Croatia this August! We’ve been hired by the European Missions Society to train in leading a small church there of 18 people. This group of Christians is nothing short of incredible, and they have been through so much in their faith. We are hoping that with the years we spend serving them that we can see God rebuild their church into a robust and thriving community!

We are so grateful that a mission team organization called ReviveEastern Europe (RevivEE) will be part of our journey with the church. RevivEE has spent the last five years recruiting volunteer missionaries to serve churches in Eastern European countries. Due to social and political turmoil, along with strong historical/cultural influences from orthodoxy and communism, many of these churches have been persevering through a desert season for a long time. We, along with RevivEE hope to help change that.

RevivEE recruits volunteer missionaries from all over the world. These volunteers sign up to spend 10 months serving a church and spreading the gospel in cities like Bucharest Romania, Chisinau Moldova, and Zagreb Croatia. During their time with RevivEE the missionaries live on $1,100 a month that they fundraise prior to their mission trip. While in Eastern Europe almost all of them have no other job or focus than their service.

These volunteers largely raise the funds themselves, but some of them come from parts of the world that makes that very difficult. We are so inspired by their hearts - by the way they want to give up a year of their life to serve God and build faith in a nation that might not be their own - so we are fundraising on their behalf. All funds donated to this GoFundMe, any funds donated to us personally, and any funds donated to the European Missions Society on our behalf will be put entirely toward support the expenses of a RevivEE voluntary missionary for this upcoming year.

By supporting them you are honoring God, and you are also supporting us in our journey. Although these funds don’t go to us directly, the people this money will support will be our friends, our confidants, our support system building life and church with us as we begin our journey in Croatia.
