Help Katy Smith After her House Fire!

Hi pals - Raquel here, and I’m here to ask you to support one of the best people on this very planet while she deals with such a devastating tragedy.

On Thursday, April 4th, our beloved Katy Smith lost her incredible house and her unreasonably sweet kitty, Sonny, in a terrible house fire. Katy was not home, and thankfully is physically safe and well, but this loss is so big.

A lot of us damn near lived in that house for many of our younger years. Katy opened her doors constantly to a rag tag group of people no one should trust in as beautiful a home as she kept, but her generosity somehow manages to be more impressive than her incredible style.

Katy spent years curating a collection of the coolest things I think most of us have ever seen in that house. If you’re like me, every time you’d visit you’d be amazed by the skill and attention to detail that went into every corner. Even down to my favorite weird vegetables with faces decor in the kitchen. If you know, you know, this home was priceless.

And dear Sonny brought so much love and joy to Katy and her beautiful home. Sometimes he sat like a human ready to listen to all of your woes, and sometimes he was running wild, and in all forms, he was the sweetest little buddy. Losing a pet is absolutely the pits, but losing him this way feels cruel.

This GoFundMe can’t replace Katy’s home and her fluffy baby, but it can help her as she rebuilds or moves, or whatever she needs to do next. Katy is so deserving of our support right now, and you know she’d never ask for it
