Help Katy McMahon Focus on Healing

This fundraiser is created on behalf of a friend of mine, Katy McMahon, who has been fighting an aggressive, Stage 3: Triple negative Breast Cancer, also found in her lymph nodes and pectoral muscle, since late 2023 and her fight continues still. She has been a warrior through chemotherapy that was unsuccessful at shrinking the tumors, underwent major surgery, and is now undergoing months of radiation which will be followed by additional chemotherapy. This photo was taken after her last chemo treatment and you can see that Katy is an eternal optimist. She is the glue of her family and never wants to cause worry or concern to anyone for what she's going through. Her strength, her pride, and her generous spirit to make sure other people in greater need are taken care of first have quieted any notion she may have had to ask for help. So I am asking on her behalf. I know that Katy would offer the shirt off her back to help someone else in need, and when I let her know that I'm creating this page, her immediate response was, "I'm going to pay it forward." That's who Katy is. And she has already paid it forward many times over by helping others in need before, and even during, her difficult times.

Katy's husband Jeff, her son Kyle, daughter Emily, and her mom have supported her through these last 10+ months and remain steadfastly by her side. The fight continues, and as Katy finally takes time away from her job of nearly 20 years, I'm asking for anyone who's able to lend any financial support, big or small, so she is free from the burden of financial stress and medical bills, and can instead focus on her healing and rebuilding her strength.
