Some people face one medical challenge and find a way through. Katy is facing several — all at once — and she needs her village around her.

Katy is a loving wife, an incredible mom to two young kids, and the kind of person who shows up for everyone else without hesitation. She is strong, resilient, and full of heart — but even the strongest people need support sometimes.

Last year, Katy was diagnosed with Chiari malformation, a neurological condition that required surgical intervention to relieve fluid pressure on the brain. She faced it with courage and determination, focused on getting back home to her family.

But the road to recovery has been anything but simple.

Just four weeks after her first surgery, Katy developed a complication that required a second surgery. Since the first surgery, she has been battling ongoing pain, complications and setbacks that again have brought her back into the hospital. She is currently in the ICU, surrounded by a team working tirelessly to help her heal and find answers.

Through all of this, one thing has never changed — Katy’s love for her family, and their love for her. At home, her husband and extended family are holding everything together while their two little ones wait for their mom to fully recover.

Right now, Katy is unable to work and Kyle will need to take more time off of work to help with Katy's recovery and the kids. This is where we can provide some relief.
