Help Katy and Penelope during medical crisis

Hello everyone my name is Katy!

I am a 24 year old health care worker and single mother.

I am currently opening this GoFundMe due to this recent week of being in the hospital in hopes of getting help with some monthly bills/medical bills while I heal.

Currently I am having some serious medical issues involving fluid on my heart and over-exertion to my lungs due to lifelong asthma.

Wednesday December 4th I had gone into the ER early morning. They had given me breathing treatments back to back and let me leave when I was still struggling to breathe with a high heart rate.

Two hours later I was taken back to the ER due to symptoms worsening and I had become even more disoriented. I was then admitted to the hospital for observation and further testing.

I am being treated with medications as well as being monitored by a cardiologist and pulmonologist. I have been discharged from the hospital to heal at my home with my daughter.

I am currently waiting for my insurance to go into effect in the beginning of January. All of my medications and doctors appointments are being paid for out of pocket and I am only working on a single income. With this healing process I am having to take time off of work to prioritize my health so the single income I had is no longer available until I am well enough to work.

All donations will be going towards monthly bills such as rent, groceries, electric, water etc so I do not lose mine and my daughter’s home.

Anything and everything is greatly appreciated as I am going through this transition and healing process.
