Hello, my name is Alyssa and I am starting this GoFund Me to help my Mom, Katrina out.

She has been recently diagnosed with myelfibrosis, a cancer of the bone marrow, that is very quickly spreading and is in need of a bone marrow transplant ASAP. Before the transplant, she also needs to get her spleen removed due to it currently being enlarged. My mom has been in lots of pain lately, and day-to-day life is already a struggle.

Due to the procedures, my mom will be off work for at least 1-1.5 years, recovering. I am becoming her full-time caregiver, as well as friends and family have stepped in to help as much as they can.

However, even with the help we are receiving it is nowhere enough to live. Gas to and from the hospital multiple days a week (which is at least an hour either way), food, medicine, bills, etc are still expenses that we need to pay, even without working.

Any amount helps and we are so grateful for you even to be taking the time to read our page.
