My name is Katrina Mills, and I’m a single mom of four. On September 11, 2025, my life changed forever when a driver chased me down and shot at my car twice on my way home from work. One bullet came inches from taking my life. Since that terrifying day, I’ve been focused on healing and caring for my children, but recovery has been slow and challenging. I am currently out of work, and the bills are piling up. I was working toward first-time homeownership, but everything is on hold while I focus on my health and my family’s well-being. The upcoming holidays, which used to be filled with joy, are now full of uncertainty. I want to rebuild my life, regain stability, and provide for my children.

The donations will go directly toward supporting my recovery and my four children over the next few months. Specifically, they will help with medical bills and therapy for my arm injury, daily living expenses like groceries and utilities, and keeping us secure at home while I am unable to work. I’ve been working with ACT Housing for first-time homeownership, but that’s on hold while I recover. With the holidays approaching, your support will help my children still have a sense of joy and normalcy despite these difficult circumstances. This support will allow me to focus on healing and being there for my kids, without the constant stress of financial uncertainty.
