Hi everyone,
My name is Crystal. I am reaching out today with a heavy heart, asking for a little help for my sweet 5-year-old cat, Katrina.
About a week ago, Katrina suddenly stopped eating and became very lethargic. It happened so fast—one day she was her usual self, and the next, she was rushing to the vet. She has been hospitalized ever since, fighting an aggressive kidney infection that has caused a lot of inflammation and stress on her body.
The doctors are still working to give us a definitive answer. Right now, we know she is battling severe kidney issues, and there is a possibility of a renal cancer diagnosis.
The Road Ahead
Katrina is finally stable enough to come home, but her journey is far from over. To give her the best quality of life and a chance to heal, she is going to need:
• Specialized renal care food to support her kidney function.
• Daily medications to manage inflammation and pain.
• Frequent follow-up veterinary visits and bloodwork to monitor her progress.
• Additional testing to determine our next steps regarding the potential cancer diagnosis.
How You Can Help
As many of you know, emergency hospital stays and ongoing specialist care add up quickly. I want to do everything in my power to give Katrina the care she deserves, but I am currently not in a position to cover these mounting costs on my own.
I’m looking to raise funds to help bridge the gap while we figure out exactly what Katrina’s long-term needs will be. Every dollar donated will go directly toward her medical bills, life-saving medicine, and the specialized diet she needs to stay strong.
Katrina is only five years old and has so much life left in her. If you aren’t able to donate, please consider sharing this page or keeping her in your thoughts. We are taking this one day at a time, and any bit of support means the world to us.
Thank you for loving Katrina as much as I do.
