Empower Katrina's Journey in Dog Training

Hello, Katrina here!

As many of you know, I have been passionate about animals, especially their behaviors and psychology, for as long as I can remember. In line with that, I have made the decision to pursue dog training as a career! This decision is incredibly important to me as I have struggled with having a direction and goal that I wanted to pursue, a lot of self-doubt and various life stresses made that rather difficult. My passion for animals has never wavered, and I look forward to deepening my knowledge and hopefully making a difference in my community. The certification program I have chosen is The Victoria Stilwell Academy. I have been researching for quite some time and this one is the best fit for me at this time. It is more affordable, accessible, and most importantly, aligns with my goals and philosophies. It is a Fear Free and Positive Reinforcement training program that emphasizes the relationship between dogs and their owners while improving communication between them. It does require more to enroll than I have available, and I have had lovely supportive members of my life suggest starting this fundraiser.

The program is primarily online and requires travel once to complete. Any donations I receive will go directly to the cost of the program. It is typically completed within six months, although I hope to be completed a little faster than that. I am asking for a little more than the program costs due to the fees associated with GoFundMe. I cannot understate how much I appreciate any support, monetary or otherwise! I hold no expectation for monetary support, the mental and emotional encouragement I have received recently has already been incredibly generous.
