Help Kato Potato get a second chance

Our names are Michelle and Nick and were looking for help for our 10 year old Rottweiler Kato.

2 weeks ago, we noticed our boy Kato limping and not wanting to put any weight on his paw, almost dragging it. We gave him some meds and tried to do what we could but it seemed to be getting worse so we set up a vet appointment shortly after and were hit with the devastating news that it's very likely a type of bone cancer in his shoulder. There is hope, and a chance of it being treatable, but it means on top of the almost $600 we’ve already spent on his blood work and medication, we’re going to have to spend up to $1500 for his X-rays, on Monday, to determine if it is cancer and if it had already spread to his lungs. If it hasn’t spread we’re still looking at a potential amputation, which could cost up to 10k.

We are really hoping that everything is not as dire and expensive as it sounds, but we have to prepare for the worst. If it has already spread, then anything we raise will go towards his medication and everything else he will need to keep him as comfortable and happy, with whatever time he has left with us, as well as end of life care.

We love this boy so much and want to give him a chance at living pain free as long as possible. He’s still here the same guy, eating, drinking, pooping, howling and being a goofball. He’s still here mentally, this cancer is the only thing physically stopping him so we really want to do everything possible to help him. Thanks so much.
