Hi everyone,
I’m writing to share news that has turned our niece and her family's world upside down. Katlynn, only 22 years old, was recently diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML). This aggressive blood cancer requires immediate and intensive treatment, including chemotherapy as well as many blood and platelet transfusions, requiring extended hospital stays far from home. She had to be flown emergently from the hospital in her hometown to Seattle to get the appropriate treatment.
At just 22, Katlynn should be focusing on building her future — instead, she’s facing a battle for her life. Treatment will keep her out of work for many months. On top of the emotional and physical toll, she still has everyday expenses: rent, utilities, groceries, and the added costs of temporarily relocating with her parents to another city to receive the specialized care she needs.
We’re reaching out to our community for support. Any donation — big or small — will go directly toward helping Katlynn cover:
-Rent and basic living expenses while she’s unable to work
-Travel and rental housing costs near the treatment center
-Groceries and daily essentials
-Unexpected medical and recovery expenses not fully covered by insurance
-Student loan payments
Your generosity will not only ease the financial burden, but also allow Katlynn to focus on the most important thing: healing.
If you’re unable to donate, please consider sharing this page with your friends, family, or networks. Your support, love, and prayers mean more than words can say.
Thank you for standing with the Orchard Family during this fight. Together, we can give her strength and hope in the hardest chapter of her young life.
