Katiuska has always been a fighter. She has overcome breast cancer twice, showing incredible strength and resilience for her family, especially her daughter and son. Now, she faces a new and urgent medical challenge: a posterior vitreous detachment with a macular hole in her left eye. This condition threatens her vision, and doctors have recommended immediate surgery to prevent total loss of sight. Before the operation, Katiuska needs several preoperative exams, including bilateral biometry and topography, all of which come with a high cost that our family cannot afford on our own.

This vision issue has deeply affected Katiuska’s daily life. She can no longer drive, and reading has become nearly impossible. Her vision is wavy, making even simple tasks difficult. These changes have taken away her independence and her ability to do what she loves most—being a mom, cooking, and crafting. Above all, her happiness and self-confidence have been shaken, but she continues to fight for her health and her family.

Successful surgery would mean everything to Katiuska. It would restore her independence, allow her to care for her children, and bring back the joy she finds in cooking and crafting.
