Our dear friends Katie and Mitch experienced a medical emergency with Katie this past week that came out of nowhere. They just celebrated their 2nd wedding anniversary on September 30th and welcomed Finley to the world only 8.5 months ago.

On Monday, Katie was admitted to the hospital after experiencing two seizures. While the hospital was running tests, she began having difficulty breathing and she needed to be intubated. Her body then began to shut down and she was placed on a ventilator as her lungs and heart became very weak. It’s been a very long week for Katie and Mitch and their families, but luckily Katie started to show signs of improvement and is now off the ventilator as of Saturday evening. Her heart is still weak and she remains in the cardiac ICU.

On behalf of Katie and Mitch Arcand, we are creating this to help raise financial support for the costs associated with medical bills and daily living expenses while Katie is recovering in the hospital and Mitch is by her side caring for Katie and Finley.
