Help Katie Go To College; Autism Challenge.

Please help this autistic young woman continue her college career studying psychology, and playing softball at the collegiate level. Katie Thompson is a kind and caring person who is fiercely protective of friends and family. She has earned NUMEROUS athletic and scholastic awards and is also an award-winning artist. Katie has an independent spirit and drive to succeed in whatever she undertakes. Attending college is not the easiest for someone with autism, especially adding the intense schedule of being a collegiate athlete.
It is difficult for people without neurological challenges to succeed in higher education, but Katie has done well so far! She successfully completed two years at the junior college level as a softball catcher/outfielder and is a Scholar Athlete. The video numbers (link below) are incorrect; Katie completed her spring semester with a 4.0 GPA, and has a cumulative GPA of 3.769! She was recruited to play NAIA Softball by two schools, and chose San Diego Christian. She received a partial scholarship and is eligible for some financial aid, but has a gap to fill in order to live her dream of playing softball at a 4-year school while pursing a degree in psychology. San Diego Christian is a private school, and more costly than a state-run school. Tuition, fees, housing, meal plan, books, and more need to be covered. With scholarships and financial aid, Katie has most of the cost in hand but needs your help with the rest.
Katie is well known and loved by our small mountain community and we appreciate any and all donations in support of this lovely young woman. However, this is a big need, so please share with family and friends, softball fans, church members and those who understand the challenges of living life with autism.
