Help Katie Seeley's children and her fiancé

On August 7th, a helicopter crash resulted in the passing of Katie Seeley (33) and her father, Craig Seeley (56). Katie, a mother of two, is survived by her two children, Charlotte (12) and Matthew (10), her fiancé, Chris (CJ) Sullivan, and her stepmother LaRee Seeley.

As you can imagine, the emotional weight of losing a parent so young can be overwhelming, as is the monetary burden that comes with the loss of income and funeral expenses. Katie and CJ had recently purchased a house, as well as a rental property, with the intent of fixing the house up and making it livable for the family. Unfortunately, this required their recent combined income to cover the costs, as it needed extensive upkeep. Additionally, Katie was a wildlife rehabilitator, and currently has over 20 chickens, ducks, and woodpeckers that will now need food, care, and homes.

Many of you who read this know CJ as a Marine, a brother, a friend, and a dedicated father figure to Katie's children. If you know any of those things, you also know that CJ would give the shirt off his back to help anyone he knew that was in need, no matter how big or small the issue. While no amount of money can ease - emotionally - what has occurred, we can do our best to help Katie's children and CJ to find their feet monetarily. In times like these we lean hardest on our friends and the ones we care about, in hopes that they, too, will lean back when their time arises. Even if you can't spare anything at the moment, please keep Katie, her kids, LaRee and Craig Seeley, and CJ in your hearts and prayers.

Katie's children also have a Venmo setup through their aunt that will be the basis of a trust fund for them when they turn 18 (which will be provided below).
