In early February, after a month of testing and scans, our best friend Katie’s beloved dog Hank was diagnosed with a cancerous tumor on the front right lobe of his liver, also affecting the lymph nodes nearby.

Hank needs a liver Lobectomy which would remove the tumor and affected areas nearby. Surgeons have recommended this procedure be done as soon as possible and are currently booking now for the next two weeks.

The estimated cost for this procedure is $7k, which is almost as much money as Katie has already put into the tests and scans prior to this official diagnosis. As I’m sure you can imagine, this is a shocking blow to her finances, as she is currently his sole provider.

Funds from this campaign will go directly to Katie so she can cover the down payment to make the surgery appointment, then pay the remainder once it’s complete.

If Hank can get this procedure, he has a fighting chance at continuing to give his trademark slobbery kisses for years and years to come, which he surely deserves.

Katie is a selfless, beautiful person who wouldn’t think twice to give to a friend or community member in need, and together she and Hank have been there for countless friends and family members during their own times of need. We know Katie would do anything for Hank, but we’re starting this Go Fund Me to help ease the financial impact that this will have on her because it was so unexpected and shocking considering he had a clean bill of health this past October during his annual check up.
