Hi, I'm Katie Longhurst!

This summer, I have the opportunity to march baritone with The Battalion Drum and Bugle Corps. Drum corps has been a long-standing goal and dream of mine, and I'm so excited to do it for the first time!

Drum corps is a huge commitment, with long rehearsal days, performances, and travel time. It takes an incredible amount of dedication, teamwork, and perseverance to succeed. Here's DCI's official page to learn more about the activity: https://www.dci.org/static/about_drum_corps

Unfortunately, drum corps is an expensive activity, and it is only getting more costly as time passes. This year, tuition costs $4,800 to cover expenses for food, uniforms, administrative fees, buses, and more. I am doing everything I can to earn the money on my own, but I am likely to fall short.

This is an amazing opportunity for me to improve my musical skills, build my physical strength, and make lifelong connections and memories.
