Updated: Help Katie & Family Fight Stage 4 Cancer

Just before Thanksgiving in November 2021, my sister Katie Brockmeier got the worst news anyone could receive. She went to the doctor not feeling well and left knowing that her cancer returned. Katie's breast cancer is back, but this time it is STAGE 4 Metastatic. It has reached every part of her body, including her all of her vital organs such as the liver, lungs, and brain (among other places). She has been enduring rigorous treatments including various radiations and chemo treatments with the hope to stop the spread. Unfortunately, this did nothing to stop the spread of her cancer. The toll it has taken on her body has left her unable to work or do much more than attend her appointments. It has become quite hard for her to get around at all. Even walking has become difficult, and she has needed to use a walker and wheelchair just to get around. Despite having health insurance, she is still dealing with medical bills piling up in addition to day-to-day expenses and was still trying to tackle her debt from medical bills in collections. Katie's husband works as much as possible while taking care of her and the girls in the midst of this impossible situation. The money and food donated thus far have helped tremendously, and all funds from these donations will go directly to Katie and her family to help with medical expenses and lost income.

Katie does not have life insurance, and in the event that the worst happens, any remaining funds will go towards her funeral services and taking care of her girls future.
