Help Katie Heal and Come Home
Our dear friend Katie, a 41-year-old Bloomington mom of two — Kip and Jay — and loving wife to John, recently suffered a spontaneous coronary artery dissection (SCAD) that led to an extended stay in the ICU.
Katie is currently fighting hard in the hospital, but her recovery journey will be long. She will need multiple forms of therapy, and many weeks (or even months) of rehabilitation to regain her strength and independence.
When she’s able to come home, the family will need to make significant home modifications to make daily life safe and comfortable for her. On top of medical bills, therapy, and follow-up care, this sudden medical emergency will create a financial strain that we would love to ease or eliminate.
Katie has always shown up for others — with kindness, laughter, and unwavering support. Now it’s our turn to show up for her.
Please consider donating to help cover the mounting medical expenses, rehabilitation costs, and home adjustments that will help Katie heal and come home safely to her family.
Every dollar, every share, and every message of encouragement means the world right now. Let’s help lift some of the weight off this incredible family’s shoulders so Katie can focus on what matters most — healing and getting back to the life and people she loves.
Goal: $90,000
All funds will go directly to Katie and John to support her recovery.
