For the past 2 years, Katie's health started to go downhill. This wasn't something that we could control as we've been to many different doctors trying to figure out why her health was deteriorating so quickly. She's tried many different forms of weight loss, including medications, a lot of exercise, and eating very healthy. 

Katie has the following medical problems that this surgery would help take care of:
* Polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS)
* Type 2 Diabetes
* Severe Acid Reflux
* Anxiety and Depression (this would be significantly less because her self esteem would go up)
*Fibromyalgia

We know it's a lot to ask, and we are the last people that you'll ever see asking for money, but please help us raise as much as we can for this surgery. We cannot start our family until she has this surgery...Katie is desperate for any help, and unfortunately EMI Health decided not to cover this surgery.

They deemed the surgery "dangerous," and said the long term effects are "too risky" for this type of surgery, when we have seen the effects of this first hand and how much it can help! It would be MORE dangerous for her not to have this surgery.
