Help Katie Finish Her Tiny House

Dear Family, Friends, and Neighbors,

Many of you know I have been building a tiny house for the last 4+ years – a dream many years in the making! I am in the final stages of the build, thanks to the help of a number of local craftspeople. My goal is to finish before winter of this year. As I look ahead at the coming months, the main barrier to staying on track and completing the project is money. Remaining work includes plumbing, cabinetry, wood stove installation, and many small finishing tasks.

Construction projects often take more time and money than initially expected, and I’ve also found it to be draining energetically and emotionally, especially having encountered some health challenges in recent years. I have been project managing, researching, decision making, and paying-as-I-go for the various phases of the build to finish the interior of the space. I have reached a point where I could really use your help to cross the finish line and make this dream a reality.

The tiny house means independence and housing security for me; it is an investment in my future. I strive to live simply and authentically and to continue to create a life as an artist.
