Our sweet friend Katie was recently diagnosed with Stage 3 ductal carcinoma... the unimaginable, words a young mother never wants to hear... breast cancer. She’s a devoted wife and mama to two little ones, and she's now preparing to undergo a double mastectomy as part of her fight. To say she’s now facing one of the toughest battles of her life would be an understatement.

Katie's team didn't waste any time beginning her treatment. She has already gone through one round of chemotherapy, but unfortunately, one of her four cancer medications isn’t covered by insurance. On top of that, she doesn’t have short-term or long-term disability through work, which means while she’s fighting for her health, her family is also trying to figure out how to manage the financial strain that comes with medical bills, household expenses, and just keeping life going for the kids.

Katie has always been the kind of person who gives her all and has always been a source of strength and kindness to her family, her friends, and everyone around her. Now, she needs our help.... Now it’s our turn to show up for her.
