Hi friends, I’m Katie, an ordained spiritual healer with The Universal Light, specializing in hands-on healing. For the last eight years I’ve been operating a small practice, Bodhi’s Path, by providing those in my care with personalized healing centered around my deeply held beliefs that physical pain and discomfort can be healed through ritual touch, movement, meditation, and breath work.

Unfortunately the Washington State Department of Health has decided to challenge my ability to practice as spiritual healer, insisting my work requires me to hold LMT (Licensed Massage Therapist) credentials. In order for me to continue my life-long dream and provide healing to my community, I will need to challenge their cease and desist in court. I refuse to compromise my ethics and morals to capitulate to a broken “healthcare” system that is invasive and unnecessary to the healing process.

This is where your support comes in… In order to move forward with my life’s work, I have to come up with a $6,000 retainer fee (in the next handful of days) for lawyers to start an unprecedented case defending my 1st and 14th Amendment rights.

Since this case began in August 2025, I have been unable to continue my practice and have therefore lost a significant part of my income. I’m now on a tight timeline to get this money in-hand and to my lawyers before my final settlement offers are due, as they need time to research, strategize, and negotiate all before 5/15/26 .
