Rally for Katie
Donation protected
On February 25, Katie had a respiratory induced cardiac event and was unconscious and non-responsive for several minutes. She spent 3 weeks at Northeast Georgia Medical Center where she was stabilized, then she was accepted by and moved to Shepherd Center in Atlanta where she has been enduring daily intense rehabilitation to date. She’s making great progress in recovery from the traumatic brain injury, but she will also likely need a pace maker/defibrillator due to a failing left ventricle in her heart.
So, when she departs TSC for home, she will need 24hr care for an undetermined amount of time while she recovers and ongoing care expenses are still unknown, but likely to be substantial.
If you feel led and are willing to help, we greatly appreciate it. Also, please be in prayer for her full and complete recovery. Thank you for all the love and support we’ve received! It’s clear to us that Katie is greatly loved!
