Hi my name is Katie, and I am reaching out to you during a challenging time in my life. Four weeks ago, my fiancé, Mike, and I were excitedly planning our future together. Unfortunately, our plans took an unexpected turn when I was diagnosed with stage 3 lymphoma. Lymphatic cancer. 

 I do massage therapy and have always enjoyed the work I do. I have been told that I will be unable to work at the capacity I do now, if at all this year on. 

I thought the pain I feel was normal, maybe from turning 30, working, allergies, asthma, psoriasis, I never seemed to fully recover from colds. I began to avoid so many active things I love to do. Ultimately,  I just began to swell. I became so swollen, I could not close my hands. With encouragement,  I met with more & more doctors. Thus, Cancer.  I will begin chemotherapy and treatment next week. I will be unable to live on my own for the foreseeable future. This has come up so suddenly and gave no time to plan. 

We are determined to face this battle head-on and remain hopeful for our future. Your generosity can help us cover the medical expenses for my treatment and support our dream of starting a family once I have recovered.

With the support of family, friends, & generous people in the world I hope to fight through the cancer & get back on track to leading a healthy happy loving life.

The money funded would go toward a high deductible to pay, family planning, nutrition, wig, moving fees, & another high deductible to pay at the start of new year. Every donation, no matter the size, brings us one step closer to overcoming this challenge and building the life we envision together.
