Help Katie and Doug Dickinson Rebuild After the Altadena/Eaton Fire

Hello, my name is Nancy, originally from Merced, California and an alumni of Merced High School. I have created this fundraiser on behalf of the Merced High School Class of 1976, because a classmate and cherished friend, Katie Anglin Dickinson, her husband Doug and their family pets have had their world turned upside down due to the horrific Los Angeles area wildfires.

Katie and Doug’s lives took a horrible turn when the devastating Altadena/Eaton fire in California consumed their home and all of their belongings. While we are incredibly grateful that Katie, Doug, and their beloved pets are safe, they now face the daunting challenge of rebuilding their lives from the ground up.

Their home, filled with memories and treasures collected over the years, is gone. It’s hard to fathom the emotional and financial toll this has taken, but together, we can make a difference. Katie, Doug and their pets are safe with friends, but will need to move into a short-term rental at some point.

This fundraiser is a small way for us to help Katie and Doug take the first steps toward rebuilding. The road ahead is long, and the exact costs remain unclear, but every contribution—no matter how small—brings them closer to a fresh start.

Katie and Doug will be the beneficiaries of all donations/funds received. We're setting up this GoFundMe under the California Wildfires page where they are waiting costs and will help us get the donation funds directly to Katie and Doug.
