Help Katie and Bryson NOW that Ezra passed away

Katie Vaught Burroughs has always taken care of someone. Her younger brother (Kenny)had Leukemia at age 3 and Katie naturally became a nurturing soul for her father who suffered and later passed with Diabetes and cardiovascular disease when Katie and her brother were young.

Katie and Ezra had a high-risk pregnancy, resulting in a beautiful baby boy born in the early days of COVID. They'd saved enough to put a deposit down and were looking for land to build a new home. Reluctant about the state of things during covid, they decided to wait to build their home. A year later, Ezra was diagnosed with Kidney cancer, not one of the worst cancers, as cancers go. "He should live years with the cancer", they said. Three years later, Ezra has had every one-in-a-million side effects and has been unable to return to work. Without Ezra's employment, Katie and Ezra used their entire savings to purchase his health insurance on the marketplace to cover premiums, prescriptions, tests, and living expenses. After his most recent 27 days in the hospital, Ezra was discharged to Hospice care a week ago. Their sweet little 4-year old son could hardly wait for Daddy to come home!

Katie is unable to return to work and though it is not comfortable to ask for help, the long-term reality of a two-income family having one income for three years causes unmeasurable stress. A young family should be doing the fun things a family does with a toddler, now a 4 year old. Katie has been a wonderful caregiver for Ezra and a loving Mommy for Bryson. Katie has managed to work throughout Ezra's illness, until now. Since Ezra's cancer has progressed and Hospice is assisting in his care, the new challenge is the need for Katie's continual presence. Katie and Ezra would do anything to help anyone and any animal. Now, they need help.
