Hi, my name is Maryann Polgano, but everyone knows me as Kathy. Long story about the name. I have been diagnosed recently with cancer. I am fortunate to say the doctors believe it to be 100% curable. My problem is with the cost of everything that comes with this diagnosis. I am a 78-year-old widow living on my social security check. I don’t qualify for Medicaid, and the copays are $55.00 every time I go to see another doctor, and there have been several. The cost of prescriptions and over-the-counter items that are necessities is overwhelming. I start chemo and radiation on February 2nd, five days a week for 6 weeks. I would never have thought I could do a GoFundMe, but here I am asking for your help. Whatever you can afford would be greatly appreciated.
