Hi, I'm sure most of you know me. My name is Mason, and Kathy Thompson is my mom.

Recently, Mom was diagnosed with ovarian cancer. Things are going well, but she'll be starting chemotherapy treatment soon. Mom is getting ready to go through a process that's strenuous not only physically, but emotionally as well. To help ease her stress about chemo and keep her confidence up, I've created a fundraiser to surprise her with the ability to retain hair during treatment.

Chemo Cold Caps are devices used during treatments; these caps cool the scalp during chemo in order to prevent as much hair loss as possible. My goal is to raise money to pay for Mom's capping treatments so she doesn't have to worry as much about losing hair. Capping is expensive, but the price per patient is capped at $2,200.

All money raised will be going primarily towards Mom's Cold Cap treatments. If we exceed our fundraising goal, any extra money will go toward extra treatment expenses and things to make her life easier.
