Hi, my name is jill. My sister Kathy (aka Nana to me as she helped my mom take care of me as a baby and spoiled me) is very ill in the ICU and is fighting for her life. In case you don’t know my sister, let me tell you a little more. She has been a rural carrier in Florida working six days a week for almost 30 years and has never taken a vacation. A rural carrier owns their route, so they don’t get paid vacation, sick days etc. When Kathy was hospitalized, her son and daughter paid someone to currently work her route. My sister has a very long road ahead of her which includes healing and rehabilitation. My nephew (Kathy’s son) has left his job in California to be close to my sister and manage her medical care, therefore, no income is coming into the household. My sister who is a high-spirited, good hearted and loving person has never paused to give to others. She is known to lift people’s spirits in time of need, send flowers and good morning wishes on fb messenger and loves to shower her family and friends with cards and gifts. Our gift to Kathy now is to help with expenses so she can recover, heal and get back to the person we know and love.
