Help Kathy Knapton Rebuild after Hurricane Helene!
Because of a last minute trip to visit family here in upstate NY, Kathy and Ricky Knapton, my Mom and Dad, are thankfully okay and out of the disaster zone in Asheville, NC where their home and Kathy's studio is (or was). By sheer luck, they are physically safe, but unfortunately her studio has not fared as well. Everything at her pottery studio has been lost due to hurricane Helene and their ability to even return home is unknown until roads are cleared and essential services are returned.
I have rarely ever asked for help (I am the eldest daughter, if you know, you know) but am doing so now to help Mom recover and rebuild her studio, her dream, while also helping both my parents until they are able to return to whatever is left for them in Asheville.
I do not know the protocol with this platform, but I want to note the following:
1. I am Brianna Knapton Sanford
2. I am from Rainbow Lake, NY
3. Kathy & Ricky Knapton are my parents.
4. 100% of the funds received will be directly given to Kathy Knapton to help rebuild her studio and aid them as the figure out the next steps following this horrible disaster.
- Funds donated will be put toward replacing everything that was lost at her studio, including but not limited to, all her tools, pottery wheel, kiln, glazes, clays, storage and setup, lost income, and any clean-up/salvage services and navigating daily life until they are able to return to Asheville. In addition to her studio, a small portion of the donations received will also aid in their temporary living situation and steps to get back to their home.
If you're able, anything or any way you feel called to help is truly a godsend. We are so grateful they are okay, but at the moment we need a little help in these hard times.
