As many of you may know, on Saturday, December 22, Kathy had collapsed and was being taken by ambulance to Samaritan. After the doctor saw Kathy, she informed everyone that Kathy was on full life support and they were going to cool her down for 24 hours to slow her organs, and then re-warm her. At 3 Monday the family had to decide if they wanted to continue life support or not. Together, they made the choice to remove life support and have her fight. No one expected her response to the removal of life support. Kathy fought.. and fought hard. On Christmas day, she was transported to Syracuse and had heart surgery the following day. Kathy was able to go home on New Years Eve day and will be receiving in home physical therapy to get her stronger. She still has a very long road but we couldn't get this far without all your amazing support. What a true miracle! We would like to keep this quiet from Kathy... please, when sharing this on facebook, make it so Kathy is blocked from the post!
