Help Kathy Henderson with her fight for life
Donation protected
My sister Kathy Henderson is currently in the hospital fighting for her life. She is a stage 3 breast cancer survivor of 10 years and 2 days before Christmas she went to the Emergency Room with shortness of breath and weakness. They diagnosed her with congestive heart failure gave her some medicine and told her go see a cardiologist on the 13th of January. On Wednesday December 30th she went back to the Emergency room still with shortness of breath and just feeling bad...they admitted her to the hospital with pneumonia, low blood pressure, kidney and liver failure, low blood sugar and high potassium.
On Thursday, December 31st they transferred her to another hospital in Fort Worth where she was immediately put on a ventilator and life saving dialysis. Friday, January 1st Kathy's husband received a call to come say goodbye to Kathy that the procedures were delaying the inevitable. Kathy is a fighter and we refuse to give up on her. After learning that she was diagnosed with DIC, a very rare blood clotting disorder we searched hospitals that could treat her better. Thanks to close friends of Kathy's she was able to be transferred to a wonderful heart hospital in Dallas . She arrived last night and her vitals have improved, she is still on a ventilator and the doctors feel she may have had a stroke at some point.
We know she is in the best hands at the hospital she is currently in and we believe in the power of prayer and miracles. The medical expenses are adding up and the cost of two hospital transfers are an enormous expense alone. Ron needs to be by Kathy's side during all of this and the hospital is 1.5 hours away from their home. We are hoping to get Ron a room close to the hospital so he can be there for Kathy at all times. Once Kathy recovers, and she WILL recover, she is going to need rehab and support. Please consider helping this amazing woman and her family during this most difficult time. If you cant donate money, please pray!
