Hi, My name is Suzanne. My sister, Kathy, has stage 2 uterine cancer. She gives of herself to her friends and her community when ever she is able, being ill has greatly reduced her ability to do so. The rural North Eastern part of P.A. where she lives is a bit of a drive to any medical facilities. This same rural area has been riddled by fracking, leaving the well at her house undrinkable. This creates a nightmare of purchasing water for every use. It has caused health issues for her whole household and possibly has caused her cancer. She has tried and tried to get the state to listen about how the fracking has damaged her community, it all falls on deaf ears. Kathy needs reliable transportation to her cancer treatments and to relocate to a dwelling with clean water. She had saved for a long time to purchase a vehicle and did so, but when you buy a really used vehicle things happen and the engine blew in the one she purchased. Kathy has been on a fixed, disability income for years and saving the money for the car took a long time, getting it fixed is simply not an option for her. Our family is proud, determined, hard working, and starting this fund is difficult for us. The pandemic has put a lot of services on hold, indefinitely, this includes rides for cancer patients to treatment appointments. We have looked in to several such services and they do not know when their services will be running again. This is our last hope to get my sister on the road to better health.
