My name is Tracy, and I am raising funds on behalf of my cousin, Kathy-ann Giscombe, a strong and loving 34-year-old woman from Jamaica who is fighting for her life against stage 3 cervical cancer.

Kathy-ann has been undergoing treatment at the St. Joseph Cancer Treatment Centre in Jamaica, where she has bravely endured chemotherapy and radiation. She is now at the final stage of her treatment, which requires four sessions of high-dose radiation (brachytherapy).

Unfortunately, this procedure is not available in Jamaica. Her doctors have advised that she must travel to Barbados to complete her therapy. Each session costs about $5,000 USD, bringing the total medical expenses to nearly $20,000 USD, not including travel and recovery costs.

This is an overwhelming amount for Kathy-ann, who is already physically weak and emotionally burdened. To make matters even harder, she is facing this battle without her closest family by her side. She recently lost her mother, and her only sister has migrated to the United States. At the moment, she is staying with a kind family friend who is helping her as best as they can.

Despite these hardships, Kathy-ann continues to hold onto hope. She has so much life ahead of her, and this final treatment is her chance to overcome cancer and move forward into a brighter future.
