My name is Ileana Stone, I have been blessed to have met Kathy Espinosa.
Kathy is an amazing a woman, wife and mother who I instantly was drawn to. Kathy has became a dear friend, a girlfriend to laugh with, a woman of trust & loyalty. Over the course of our friendship, I have met her husband & daughter seeing & feeling their love & admiration for her confirmed our instant connection.
Kathy has worked for the same company (TJMAXX) for 37 years, along her career she has inspired & supported many!
Kathy's journey began in May 2025 with an incidental finding, thinking it was pain from a fall to find herself being sent for an ultrasound of her spleen where growths were discovered.
This is when Kathy was diagnosed with non Hodgkin’s lymphoma confirmed by a biopsy.
Quickly Kathy found a team of doctors at MGH where she was closely monitored.
Within one year, her cancer manifested into a large B cell lymphoma which metastasized into numerous organs and Kathy bravely went through EPOCH treatment with six rounds of chemotherapy, after that, Kathy continued to show some spots in her abdomen area ,she then went through 12 rounds of radiation.
She finally felt herself and she was able to go back to work after 6 months in March 2026.
3 months later right after Mother’s Day, Kathy started having a lot of headaches, started being afraid to drive because she couldn’t see anything with her left side eye, Kathy wasn’t feeling herself at all for a couple of weeks.
She decided to go back to the hospital, hours after X-rays and MRI’s she learned the the cancer has returned to the brain this time.
Kathy was hospitalized right away for 17 days and had to go for brain biopsy to confirm diagnosis.
Now she is going through more rounds of chemotherapy but she has to endure more challenges, a STEM CELL TRANSPLANT and in the future if needed a CAR T CELL TRANSPLANT as well.
Kathy has been very positive and hopeful to be cured, but with her not able to work and medical bills mounting, several trips to Boston, Kathy and her husband David, and young daughter Ava are financially struggling.
We are reaching out to ask for your support.
Your generous contribution can help ease their financial burden and give Kathy the peace of mind she needs to focus on her recovery.
Every donation NO matter the size will make a Meaningful difference, for Kathy and her family in her fight for a cure!
Thank you kindly to all able to help!
