Hello, my name is Melody Buck and I am asking for your help for my mother, Katherine (Kathy) Buck. My mother is currently in the hospital in the Oklahoma City area (we live in Ardmore, Oklahoma) and has been there since December 1st. After breaking her T-5 vertebrae, she received the difficult diagnosis of multiple myeloma (an incurable blood cancer). She had a bone marrow biopsy and back surgery the first week in the hospital and has since had chemotherapy weekly and is now on dialysis for kidney issues related to the myeloma diagnosis. She has been through physical therapy for her back surgery and has been dealing with complicated side effects of chemotherapy and dialysis. As of today, she still has tests to be done like a stomach x-ray and a PET scan. We don’t know when she will be coming home.
