Help Kathy Benjamin fight Cancer
Kathy is a wonderful Mom, friend, and co-worker. She is fiercely independent and wouldn’t ask for help but we all can use some help. She’s fighting hard against aggressive ovarian cancer.
In February she started feeling bad. She worked through Valentine’s Day week - an immensely busy week for a florist - without complaining despite being in extreme pain and discomfort. The next day, after work, she went to the ER on her own.
Things changed very quickly and she was admitted to the hospital that night. It was an aggressive and advanced form of ovarian cancer. A week later she had major surgery - a full hysterectomy, spleen, appendix, gallbladder, and bowel reconstruction. That was just the beginning. She continued with intensive chemo sessions and has been in and out of the hospital. Kathy has spent over 30 days in the hospital since March.
Through it all, Kathy has kept a positive attitude. She is fighting hard. Her family is taking good care of her but we want to remove the financial burden from them so she can focus on being healthy. Another surgery is upcoming and the road ahead is long.
Can we give to Kathy and help her?
