Help Kathy and Team Reopen Minnie's Restaurant

I SO did not want to do this. I am aware that the majority of our customers/friends are also strapped financially. We have got to a point where I just do not have anymore tricks up my sleeve. Not just myself and Mary, but all the employees we consider family have recieved little to nothing in the way of payroll going on seven weeks now.

Yesterday I spent transferring the little we had left in personal savings into Minnie's account. I paid those bills I could, which left still more, that I cannot. I thought we had got thru to see light at the end of the tunnel, but then came in the contractors to rip out the walls in the entire restaurant! Originally, we were told they would have everything ready for us to open again by this past Wednesday. Even the mitigation gentleman thought we had little to no mold in most of the restaurant. Unfortunately, we were both wrong.

So here we are again, begging for your help. None of us work to keep ourselves busy in our aging bodies, we work because we have to! I'm not going to go back thru all the circumstances we have tried to deal with since the beginning of COVID, you have all heard me whine enough thru these past 4 years!

This photo was taken after we finished work.on Saturday. We all had so much fun doing it, and looked forward to today, Halloween, to come in with costumes on and enjoy it with you! Then came Sunday, and the "mold busters" So here we are, just praying that we will be able to get back to work soon, before you all forget we existed!

We have had a few very generous people stop in with donations, and the girls did well in tips, as you all were very generous.

All this being said, I do understand that all of us have gone thru hell with the past two hurricanes, and know that you cannot pull funds out of the air (I've tried!) If you can help, we will all be grateful, if not, we will be grateful for your patronage when/if we do reopen.
