Hi,

After a routine colonoscopy in September, an irregularity was discovered by my doctor. It alarmed him sufficiently that he called me as I was driving back home and told me to turn around and come back to the hospital. I had a full body scan and then a biopsy of my left kidney; they found cancer (multiple myeloma) in my bone marrow. They immediately began chemotherapy and supplemental hydration. I was in the hospital for six days. I am continuing oral chemo at home, with a weekly infusion session at Beth Israel Hospital, under the care of Dr. Ligel, a leader in the field.

2020 has been a challenging year financially, with Covid and only on-line teaching; chemo severely limits my energy and ability to work. I am struggling to pay medical bills and living expenses. I would deeply appreciate any help.
