Kathryn’s Story:

On November 4, 2019, Kathryn’s world shifted forever: she was diagnosed with ALS (Motor Neurone Disease).

For Kathryn, it was terrifying, but also the beginning of a new chapter—one defined by bravery, compassion, and a refusal to let ALS define her spirit.

Kathryn is a gifted veterinary surgeon and a beautiful soul, known for her infectious laughter and sparkling wit. Even as her body faces the daily challenges of ALS, her mind and heart remain fiercely alive. She has found clarity and strength in humour, sharing her journey with the world through storytelling.

The Next adventure: A Healing Retreat

Kathryn is determined to keep living fully and proving the doctors wrong. She was given a prognosis of three years, but she is still with us 5 years on. Her next adventure is attending a transformative retreat focused on meditation and living in the present moment—a chance to find peace, healing, and hope.

But ALS is relentless. Kathryn is not allowed to attend without a specially qualified carer to accompany her, and there are very few who meet the requirements.

She Has found the perfect carer, who is prepared to volunteer their time and service for free, but the cost for the caregiver to attend is significant—£6000.

Kathryn is covering her own expenses, which are Even Higher, but she needs our help to fund her carer’s place.
