Hi, my name is Stacy and I've started this GoFundMe for my best friend Kathleen and her furbaby Max. Kathleen could never have kids, so her furbabies are her children, her life. She'd do anything in her power to help them. But, as we all know, vets are expensive, and sometimes our babies get sick, and their humans need a little help getting them better.
Max is Kathleen's Bengal kitty and he's been sick off and on for a bit now. It started off when he just wouldn't eat or drink and got really cranky, then attacked Kathleen, leaving her with a trip to urgent care for stitches. Thus began Max's getting even sicker. After a trip to the vet, it showed very elevated liver enzymes among other things. They gave meds, and he seemed to get better for quite a while. But, he's sick again. He's been in and out of the vet hospital, which has racked up a $2500 bill. Kathleen has already paid $1000, but the latter is still due. The vet refuses to help Max anymore until that bill is paid off. She gave him all the money she had saved up, including her last paycheck in its entirety, leaving her with no money for even food to feed herself. She'll starve if that means saving his life. It's been suggested that she surrender her baby to her ex, which breaks my heart into a million pieces because he is refusing to even keep her updated or let her see Max (crazy exes after divorce ), and I just cannot let that happen. Max is the sweetest cat, and my family loves him too. I cannot bear watching my best friend lose her beloved kitty. Max needs to have exploratory surgery as it's believed he has either an intestinal blockage or some sort of genetic deformity in his digestive tract or gallbladder. Hence the need for help.
Please help me to help her keep Max and save his life. I cannot watch my friend lose her baby. It will literally break her. I don't have receipts, etc., but am willing to get them from her or provide the vet's name and info should you decide you want to help but do not want to donate through GoFundMe, which is totally understandable.
If you've made it this far, I commend you! You're a freaking Rockstar. If you donate, I'd hug you if I could because you're a super duper Rockstar....Max totally told me to say that!
