Help Kathleen on Her Road to Recovery

In June, our family’s world was turned upside down when my mother, Kathleen, was diagnosed with a rare and devastating brain virus known as Progressive Multifocal Leukoencephalopathy (PML). This rare condition was a side effect of Rituximab, a cancer medication. The journey since then has been tumultuous, filled with countless challenges, and has come at a significant financial cost.

Despite the difficulties, Kathleen continues to fight with incredible strength and resilience. Her recovery journey has included intensive rehabilitation, and she still requires ongoing home health care to regain her independence. Unfortunately, Kathleen is not eligible for Medicaid, leaving much of the care and associated expenses to be paid out of pocket.

This financial burden has been heavy, and it’s why I’m reaching out today. With your support, we’re hoping to raise funds to help cover the cost of her home health care and ensure she gets the support she needs during this critical time in her recovery.
