Hi! My name is Amanda, and my mom Kathleen's car was just stolen in broad daylight, shortly after my sister Amber's car died of old age. The two of them live in a remote area with no access to public transportation, and unfortunately my mom's car insurance doesn't cover theft.

Like many people who face emergency expenses, we don't have the savings to go towards a new (to her) vehicle. We would be infinitely grateful for anything you could contribute to help keep her - and Amber - mobile and able to work and access the world. If you know my mom, you know she's trying to maintain a positive attitude, but it's still an isolating spot for her to be in, literally and emotionally.
