Hello! My name is Becky, I am the daughter of Kathleen McMonagle (maiden name Clayton). I am starting this gofundme on her behalf to help with the medical costs and possible loss of income due to medical appointments. On June 30th, 2025 she was diagnosed with Stage 4 Kidney Cancer-Clear Cell Carcinoma.

Over the past several years she has been on a health journey. She lost over 100 lbs intentionally with the help of diet, exercise and medications. She reversed her diabetes and blood pressure issues. She joined a gym and started going several times a week. She felt she was in the best shape and health she had been in a long time. She started to notice some back pain recently, but thought it was sciatica and treated it at home. On June 9th 2025, she started to experience blood in her urine. She went to the hospital to get it checked out. What I guessed was a UTI or bladder infection, turned out to be a large mass on her kidney, a mass on her iliac bone on her hip, and a nodule on her chest wall. A visit with her PCP confirmed the worst case scenario- metastatic cancer (stage 4).

After some lab work, 2 oncology visits and a biopsy, it was confirmed the type of cancer and plan of treatment.

She has already received thousands of dollars in medical bills and hasn't even started treatment yet.

I am hoping this gofundme will help her with medical costs. We have no idea how many treatments, scans, visits, lab work, etc will be required and how much will and will not be covered by insurance.
