Hi, I'm Katherine's sister Courtney. This is so surreal to write and share. Six months ago, my sister became a homeowner for the first time and then this week, she lost everything in the Palisades Fire. We are so grateful that she was able to evacuate safely with our parents (who also lost their house) and their dogs Bear and Scout. It's all very raw and new and we keep remembering things that need to be replaced. It's basically everything. Anything big or small will help her rebuild her life. Funds will be used to help her buy clothes and basic necessities, and then, once she and my parents find temporary housing, she will need to start over with kitchen and basic household supplies.
