Recently, my friend Katherine has fallen on hard times. She is facing eviction as a result of issues related to being able to pay rent that stem from the early days of COVID-19. This is extremely serious.
Katherine is a well-known writer and collector of cool things she’s found in Chicago over the years. She’s been forced to sell, store and move enough artifacts to fill a museum. Now my friend is in crisis mode and needs help.
One of Katherine’s goals is to move back near her family in and around Ames, Iowa. First, Katherine needs to figure out what to do with these things.
Katherine is a credit to the city I grew up in and around. She is a master of public transportation, an accomplished writer and a lover of bicycles among other things.
