At a time of year when everyone is supposed to be cheerful and joyful, we’re experiencing heartache and pain with a whole lot of tears. My grandson and I are being forced out in the cold with nowhere to go. Our options are few, our funds are low, and the help available to us is limited. I’ve just gained guardianship of my 9-year-old grandson, and it’s incredibly hard to tell a child that the lights are being cut off and I don’t know where we’re going to go. He’s coming from a difficult situation, and I want so much to give him the supportive, loving home he deserves.

To make matters worse, I’ll be out of work as of December 4, 2025, because my part-time job at the Leland is ending. I worked three days a week—just enough to feed us—but now we are in dire need, especially during this holiday season. More than anything, I want to have a stable roof over our heads and a warm Christmas to end the pain in my heart as we look toward a new year.

Your support will help us find safe, secure housing, provide my grandson with winter boots, a coat, hats, and gloves, and hopefully allow us to have a Christmas tree and food on our table. Most of all, I want a place for us to call home—a place where we can start fresh and build a better future together. I was hesitant to start this fundraiser because I’ve always been the one to help others, but now I need help for my grandson’s sake. If anyone can help us in any way, I would be so grateful.
