I am a cancer survivor, but recently the cancer has spread to my left lung and bladder. Facing this new challenge has been overwhelming, both physically and financially. My insurance has paid a significant portion, but I still have a large share to cover for three months of treatment. As a hairdresser, I love my work, but I simply don’t have the energy to work full time right now. I’m able to work three days a week for four hours each day, but it’s not enough to cover the mounting medical bills. Even with two insurances, the copay remains very large, and it’s been difficult to keep up. I am so grateful for any help and kindness that comes my way.
